Herzog & de Meuron is an international architectural practice based in Basel with studios in Berlin, Munich, London, Paris, Copenhagen, Hong Kong, New York and San Francisco. Our team of over 500 collaborators develops projects of all scales across Europe, the Americas and Asia.

To complement our Human Resources department team in Basel, we are seeking the immediate appointment of a  

Recruiter / HR Manager (80 – 100%)

Human Resources sees itself as a service provider for the global project teams and all business departments centralized in Basel. You can discover the diversity of our projects on our website. As a first point of contact for potential new employees, our recruitment team is responsible for representing Herzog & de Meuron as well as establishing and nurturing these important relationships. Despite the huge number of applications, we always find the best talents to strengthen our multicultural staff. The role we are seeking to fill is certainly not run of the mill.

As part of the Human Resources team, you will be reporting to the Head of Human Resources and your key responsibilities will include:

• Assessing new applications
• Responding to candidate enquiries and liaising with potential candidates over different channels
• Interacting as a sparring partner and helping make a difference
• Researching and reporting on relevant recruitment trends
• General support to the Human Resources department

Your profile:

For this very challenging role, we are looking for a proactive, polished and discreet individual who has several years of experience as a Recruiter / HR Manager on all functional levels and has a high affinity for architecture. Given our international focus and multicultural workforce, you must have either German or English as your native language and possess level C1 in the other language (written and spoken). You must also have excellent knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite. You see complex administrative tasks as an exciting challenge and have a real affinity for digital processes. Since your work will involve an economic and culturally diverse backdrop, you will have a higher education degree (university/university of applied sciences), or a suitable postgraduate qualification.
