Support building a state-of-the-art, highly competitive Technology organization by identifying and engaging top technology talent.

Role & responsibilities

Being the central orchestrator for all tech related recruiting matters, from candidate lead generation to successful closing, working closely and pro-actively with the hiring manager (who owns the recruiting process)
Facilitate the successful recruiting of a broad range of tech profiles
[Highest priority] Software developers of all seniority levels (team / tech leads with management responsibility, lead developers, senior developers, junior developers, for full stack, front-end and back-end, with a variety of specific technology skills)
[Second priority] Solutions and software architects, and cloud engineers with various backgrounds (e.g., containers, orchestration, databases, networking, security)
[Lower priority] Business analysts and system administrators (e.g., Salesforce admins)
[Lower priority] UX engineers, web analytics specialists, digital marketing / marketing automation specialists and digital advertising experts
As main focus, leading the candidate lead generation efforts across the primary hiring domains, in a highly competitive environment
Definition of recruiting strategy and job description together with hiring managers
Relationship management to a broad range of international technology recruiting agencies
Relationship management to other EF recruiting units, e.g., EdTech
Continuous identification on new creative channels to publish job descriptions
Proactive candidate identification and engagement (‘head hunting’) via social media, in particular on LinkedIn
Organization of recruiting drives, in Zurich and mostly in international locations (e.g., London, Eastern Europe), potentially together with partner organizations
Participation in external recruiting events as EF representative together with selected hiring managers
Facilitating the lead engagement process, from screening interviews, over onsite interview rounds to contract negotiation & closing
Expected annual hiring volume is 35-40 technology staff


Several years of experience in technology recruiting
Ideally experience / background in technology and digital, with an understanding of core technology concepts (in particular software development)
Outgoing and engaging personality, able to quickly build a connection with potential candidates
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
Great attitude, team player and energy amplifier, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and technologies
